the microcontroller Movies have dominated popular culture for over 15 years now. So, naturally, big names wanted to get in on the action. But sometimes, fame isn’t always the best thing in the world for a movie. Sometimes it can be a downright distraction.
This scene describes the short scenes that appear afterward. I'm not saying they're bad, but they are somewhat distracting when watching the movie. Note that, with the exception of one example that received a lot of publicity before the movie's release, there will not be short scenes with the names of the actors at the end of the movie, only those that distract from the continuous flow of the movie's narrative.
10 Elon Musk
Iron Man 2 (2010)
Widely considered the weakest entry of the first phase, Jon Favreau Iron Man 2 The film has received a great deal of unjustified hate. It is not as thematically strong as the film that was originally released, and it can be overdone at times, but the worst films in the later stages have allowed its standing to be re-evaluated to some extent. But Elon Musk’s appearance in the film is definitely one of the elements that has become worse, not better.
But why?
Musk has, of course, become more of a controversial figure than ever in recent years. So even those who didn’t know who he was in 2010 certainly know him now. And when they watch this second film again, his brief appearance will stand out.
9 Bill Maher and Joan Rivers
Iron Man 3 (2013)
Just like Iron Man 2 It has been underestimated, Iron Man 3 The movie is overrated. The villain’s fire-breathing scene really does mitigate the weirdness of Whiplash’s obsession with birds. But the movie has a more realistic identity, even if that identity is another Shane Black movie set at Christmas (and only one set in the MCU).
At least the cameo river painting makes sense.
The only time the film loses some of its identity as a single director’s vision for an MCU film is when Bill Maher and Joan Rivers show up to talk about Don Cheadle’s Iron Patriot. It’s a case of “Wait, does the MCU have the same celebrities as we do in real life?” and that’s not a case on this list. Still, having the late Rivers talk about the brilliant design of Iron Patriot is spot on.
8 David Hasselhoff
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)
Guardians of the Galaxy Part 2Ego the Living Planet is one of those MCU villains that needs to come back somehow, if only because Kurt Russell is such a beloved actor. But even if he doesn't, he at least left a memorable impression in this sequel. There's a lot of merit in having a villain who has a personal connection to the hero, such as being their father who wants to harvest them for his own power.
Strong call
Although he isn’t in Peter Quill’s life all the time, Ego knows how to intrude. For example, he transforms himself into Quill’s childhood hero, David Hasselhoff (Zardo Hasselfrau). Given Quill’s love of the ’80s and Ego’s logical ability to change his appearance, this brief appearance is logically sound and clever, but at one point it’s a technical distraction.
7 Matt Damon and Sam Neill
Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
A breath of fresh air for the MCU thanks to Taika Waititi, Thor: Ragnarok The Marvel franchise and Waititi’s sensibilities are on full blast. That includes the clever idea of having a famous actor play a famous Asgardian actor. Well… a semi-famous Asgardian actor.
At least it's funny the first time.
It was funny to have Matt Damon play Loki on stage, just as it was funny to have Chris Hemsworth's brother Luke play Thor. But the knockout was the casting of Sam Neill (who worked with Waititi on last year's great film). Searching for wild people) as the narrator of the play. It's perfectly appropriate, and serves as a funny little distraction from the narrative in the film (instead it serves as a summary of the narrative in the previous film).
6 Joe Russo
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
It's a massive big-screen show that the MCU will likely have a hard time to top, Avengers: Endgame However, this film is not without its flaws. For example, the guest appearance of Joe Russo. One of the brothers who have graced the Marvel Cinematic Universe with not only some of its biggest hits but also its best films (including End of the game), Joe is an integral part of the universe, but his brief appearance is simply an attempt to promote LGBTQ inclusion in the film, and he is married to a woman.
Inappropriate inclusion
Joe shows up at a therapy session led by Captain America. They discuss the people they lost in the “accident,” and Joe mentions a man he used to date. One wonders why the Russo's didn't hire a member of the gay community to play the role.
5 Wong and hatred
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
Highlights of the fourth phase of film production, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings The film is at its best when it focuses on the family. It is also an important film, as it is the first Marvel Studios film to feature a primarily Asian cast. This seems to explain the presence of Doctor Strange“Wong” is more than just any kind of necessity in the flow of the narrative.
Basically, it was just there to set up She-Hulk.
Of course, more Benedict Wong is never a bad thing. Wong is an entertaining character. But his many scenes in Shang Chi The story doesn't quite support it, and his battle with the Abomination is more of a setup for… What's up: Lawyer This scene is of great value to the movie it appears in.
4 Harry Styles
Eternity (2021)
Eternity The film seemed to be getting more buzz ahead of its release than it did opening weekend. There was even talk that it would be the second Marvel Cinematic Universe film to compete for the Oscar for Best Picture. It even received its first ever Rotten Tomatoes rating. There were also rumors of some notable cameos, including pop star-turned-actor Harry Styles.
The film remains the first true box office disappointment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
For those who bought a ticket just to see Stiles, they were in for a long wait. The post-credits scene (as Eros, Thanos’ brother) didn’t even show up, and it wasn’t a particularly memorable scene. Not to mention that the scene went nowhere, and given its impact on viewers, it was a memorable one. EternityFailure is unlikely to happen.
3 Matt Damon, Sam Neill, Melissa McCarthy
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
Almost everything Thor: Ragnarok Do the right thing Thor: Love and Thunder Turns to 11 and destroys. If it weren't for Melissa McCarthy's talent, the Asgardian actress's scene in the second part of the movie would have been perfect for this destruction. Fortunately, her short stint as Hela was more successful than unsuccessful.
Too much of a good thing?
However, it is not as if bull film Needs A surprise appearance. Especially after he had already taken off and started working. One thing Love and Thunder The return of Matt Damon, who is certainly a pleasant face to watch, is overrated, but the film makes its (and Luke Hemsworth's) Asgardians largely full-fledged characters. So much for the good stuff.
2 Anderson Cooper
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)
It was hard to know where Black Panther The franchise will seek revenge for the untimely death of the great Chadwick Boseman. But Black Panther: Wakanda Forever The film eased fans' concerns with its serious tone and respect for the late artist. It wasn't all doom and gloom, though the scene with CNN's Anderson Cooper wasn't light.
DCEU meets MCU
Cooper followed in the footsteps of many broadcasters, for example Wolf Blitzer in Mission Impossible – Fallout Larry King in Ghostbustersplaying himself doing what he does best. It's short, but it raises the question of whether the MCU's reality is our reality. And for that matter, if the MCU and DC Universes coexist, considering Cooper played himself in Batman v Superman: Dawn of JusticeIt's better not to think too much about these things.
1 The Illuminati
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
A chaotic film saved only by some great visual effects and a wonderful performance by Elizabeth Olsen, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Still, it was a huge success for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Financially at least. But in terms of fan reception, it was more than a mix.
here and gone
But it's no surprise that the film was a huge financial success. Its basic concept promised to feature fan-favorite characters just like Avengers: Endgame They did. But one should be careful what they wish for, as the Illuminati (Patrick Stewart's Professor Charles Xavier, John Krasinski's Reed Richards, Lashana Lynch's Captain Marvel, Anson Mount's Black Bolt, and Hayley Atwell's Captain Carter) didn't do much besides explain a lot of details and died quick deaths.
