Lord of the Rings It all started with The Hobbit. Author J. R. R. Tolkien wrote this children's fantasy book as a standalone work. Kemin (Leon Wadham) is the son of Chancellor Pharazon and a Numenorean nobleman from the Second Age. Although Pharazôn is a legal character, Kemen was invented for Rings of power. Kim is an ambitious politician, eager to win his father's approval and will go to great lengths to do so.
He also seems to be interested in another character, Eren. Given the tragic end his father met, which ultimately led to the fall of Númenor, we may be in for a tragic end for Kemen.
9 Erin
Irene (Emma Horvath) is a Númenoran lady from the Second Age and the daughter of Lord Elendil. More significantly, she is the sister of Isildur, the legendary warrior who cut the One Ring from Sauron's hand but refused to destroy it, ultimately paving the way for the events of Lord of the Rings.
While both Elendil and Isildur were created by Tolkien, Eärien is an original character to the show.Season 2 is supposed to see Eärien side with the growing Numenorean conflict, possibly against her father.
8 Sufis
These are technically three different characters, but we're putting them together in one entry because they function as one entity. Inspired by the Three Witches from Shakespeare's play Macbeth, The Sufis are three female magic users. These women are known only as the Nomad (Edith Burr), the Ascetic (Kale Coppai), and the Resident (Bridie Sisson).
The Mystics of Rune have come to hunt down a character we only know as the Stranger (Daniel Wyman), believing him to be the evil Sauron. But the Stranger, a sorcerer who descended from the heavens, defeated the Mystics and banished them to the Unseen Realm. It is unclear whether they will reappear in season two.
You may have noticed that the stranger is absent from this list. This is mainly because we don't know his identity yet, a reveal that is supposed to come in season 2..
Although wizards are primarily associated with the Third Age, there is precedent for Second Age wizards in Tolkien's works. In Tolkien's historical volume, Middle Earth PeoplesTwo Blue Wizards arrived in Middle-earth during the Second Age, sent to weaken Sauron. Is the Stranger one of these Blue Wizards? Or will he be Rings of power Throw us another weird curveball and we find out it's Gandalf or Saruman?
7 Theo
Theo (Tiroi Muhavidin) is the son of Bronwyn (more on her in a moment) and is from a small village of men called Tyrhard. He is an ambitious warrior, kind of like the Robin to Batman's Arrondir. Most importantly, he discovers a mysterious sword hilt bearing the symbol of Sauron.
The Orc Sigil, as it is called, turns out to be a haunted weapon forged by Morgoth himself, the Dark Lord who It paved the way for Sauron. In order to save his mother, Theo surrendered the sword's hilt to the forces of darkness, with disastrous consequences for Middle-earth.
6 Bronwyn
Bronwyn is Theo's mother and a healer who owns an apothecary in Tyrhard. As a single woman, she begins a romantic relationship with the elf Arrondir, something strictly forbidden in Middle-earth. Like her son, Bronwyn is an original character created for Rings of power. However, the actress who plays her, Nazanin Boniadi, has chosen not to return for season 2. The role has also not been recast, meaning fans can likely expect a bad fate for Bronwyn in season 2.
5 Bobby Proudfellow
Amazon fears that Rings of power It wouldn’t feel like Middle Earth without the famous hobbits. However, hobbits didn’t appear in Tolkien’s history until the Third Age. So Amazon decided to explore the ancestors of these hobbits, called Harfoots, a type of hobbit that Tolkien actually invented.
Amazon also wanted to replicate the magician's relationship with the other half of Lord of the Rings So, if the stranger is Gandalf (not literally, but figuratively), and Nori is Frodo/Bilbo Baggins, then Bobby Proudfellow (Megan Richards) is the noble Samwise Gamgee. Although Harfoots existed in Tolkien's history, Poppy Proudfellow did not.She's Nori's loyal, kind-hearted best friend, and she's the one who helps her take care of the stranger. Hopefully, Bobby won't have to shoulder Nori's burden (this time, we mean that literally) later in the series.
4 Managed
Adar is one of the villains in Rings of power. A corrupted dwarf, Adar was one of the first Orcs and served as their leader. Adar prefers to be called “Orc”, which is the name for Orc in the Black Speech – the evil, cursed language of Sauron's kingdom, Mordor. Speaking of Mordor, it was Adar who forced Theo to wield the hilt of the Orc Seal, which ultimately led to the creation of Mordor. Adar is not a major character in Tolkien's history. He was portrayed by Joseph Maul in the first season but will be played by Sam Hazeldine in the second season..
3 Disa
Disa (Sophia Nomvete) is the princess of Khazad-dûm and the wife of Durin IV (Owen Arthur). A strong-willed dwarf, she wields great influence over her husband and serves as his most important advisor. They are essentially the power couple of Middle-earth. While Durin IV is part of Tolkien's history, Disa was created for Rings of power. Like the Sufis, her character was inspired by Lady Macbeth from William Shakespeare's play. Macbeth.
As previously mentioned, Elanor “Nori” Brandyfoot (Marcella Cavenagh) is Frodo/Bilbo Baggins. Rings of power A half-human who yearns for adventure and loves magic, Nori spent most of the first season helping and caring for the mysterious stranger. In season two, Nori is reported to be joining the stranger on a journey to the mysterious eastern lands of Rune in season two.
1 Arundir
Aside from Galadriel, Arrondir (Ismael Cruz Córdova) is one of the main protagonists in Rings of power. Unlike most of the elves we see in Tolkien's world, who are kings and queens, Arrondir is a front-line soldier. He shares a forbidden love with the human healer Bronwyn, though this will change in season two, as the role has not been recast.
Also, considering that elves are immortal and we don't see Arrondir in Lord of the Rings, but we He does See Galadriel and Elrond, Maybe we should prepare for a tragic end for this sylvan genie..
