The rapper clearly loved his duties as NBC's special correspondent, and he made the games more fun for everyone. He was busy cheering on the athletes and cheering on Team USA, much to the delight of the fans watching at home. From swimming with Michael Phelps to carrying the torch at the opening ceremony, Snoop Dogg stole the show at nearly every turn. Here are some of his best—and funniest—moments so far.

Snoop Dogg meets Pierre the Bulldog
“Spying with A little Frenchie! “Snoop with a little Frenchie!” Is that stuck in your head yet? No thanks. In a cute encounter for the ages captured by Access Hollywood, Snoop encounters a bulldog wearing a hat, who promptly names him after fashion designer Pierre Cardin. “He’s cleaned up and made up. He’s been dipped and skinned. He’s got the suit and the shoes on,” Snoop said, looking quite pleased. At that point, he started singing “The Little Frenchie,” while playing a cute game of Keepaway with Pierre and a white basketball. Cute. —S F L

Dancing with the gymnastics team in the stands
Simone Biles was the first to spot Snoop. The 38-time medalist was standing on the gymnastics floor during her qualifying round earlier this week when she suddenly gestured to her teammates and pointed to the crowd. There Snoop was, hanging in the stands in full dance pose, arms outstretched and dancing. Within seconds, Jordan Chiles was right there with him, laughing and enjoying an impromptu dance party alongside Biles. It was just another example of the rapper building up athletes and making the Games more entertaining. —JL -

Imagine you are looking up. In the stands by the pool as you win the gold medal and you see Snoop Dogg clapping and cheering for you alongside your wife. That’s what Caleb Dressel experienced after competing in the men’s 4×100-meter freestyle relay and taking home the gold. “Go baby, go!” Dressel’s wife Megan cheered alongside Snoop. “You got it baby!” the rapper shouted. “Gone! Gone! Gone! Gone!” He could say the word eight times—that’s how many gold medals Dressel has won in his stellar career.—TM

Snoop said he has the stretching ability and “lung power” to excel, and donned a cap and shorts and got into the pool with the 23-time Olympic gold medalist for a little lesson. Snoop joined Hoda The mogul briefly interviewed Simone Biles’ parents, who told reporters how the gymnast was feeling right before the competition. Biles’ mother said her daughter was excited to have 17 family members come out to support her. She then joked with Snoop a little: She told him he had met Biles years ago, though Snoop didn’t seem to remember. “I’ll never forget that we met you in Times Square in 2010,” she said. “We asked for a picture — I said, ‘Two minutes.’ One minute, two minutes, and that was it!” The story immediately had Snoop bursting into laughter. —JL

This is for you. Great match today. Come on USA,” Snoop, wearing a Gauff shirt, says in a video posted to Instagram. “Hey Mr. Snoop. Thank you for the pin. This is the best pin,” Gauff replies. The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper competed in a 200-meter exhibition race, wearing American flag sweatpants and a star-studded jersey honoring Kobe Bryant. Snoop had his work cut out for him, going head-to-head with four-time Olympic medalist Ato Bolden and two-time NCAA 200-meter champion Wallace Spearman. What started as a close race between Snoop and Spearman during the first half quickly turned into a crushing race for the rapper.
