Not long ago, Netflix Online streaming was the first of its kind. Whether viewers wanted to watch movies or TV shows, the little red icon on their phone, tablet, or computer was the answer. Now, several other streaming services have given the platform much-needed competition. However, it remains the most subscribed streaming service, according to Forbes. While that might suggest that they are constantly keeping their subscribers happy, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Whether it’s the frequent price hikes or the reduced account engagement, many have expressed their anger at the company. Another complaint? Show cancellations. No show is safe from Netflix’s slashing, whether it’s a new series that’s barely had a chance to prove itself or a beloved show in its second or third season. 2024 has shown that Netflix is selective about the shows it continues to invest in.
Let's mourn the Netflix series that have already been cancelled this year.

Something a bit silly
Ridiculous. Nonsensical. Camp. These are the adjectives that both fans and haters of the show alike use to describe it. erasedIn fact, the show doesn’t take itself too seriously, a trait some people can tolerate for the sake of guilty pleasure, while others can’t get past a few episodes. The latter was perhaps the most common scenario, as Netflix canceled the series after one season of eight episodes. For many, Boys Its subsidiaries have implemented this concept much better.
7 Buy Beverly Hills (2022)

Real estate and expensive production
A reality TV show about real estate is likely to have a very specific audience no matter what. However, the inclusion of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Star Kyle Richards attracted a lot of attention. Her split from Mauricio was likely the first nail in the coffin for the show. The show was canceled after two seasons in August 2024. According to Deadline, the low viewership numbers couldn't justify the cost of producing the show.

New direction
This is a very cute series aimed at young children. Adults watching with young children might be offended by some of the humor, but it's actually a harmless series. The animation is solid and there's always something fun happening in each episode. The streaming numbers were good, but not very impressive, especially given Netflix's new direction away from children's programming. The series was canceled after two seasons and nineteen episodes.

He expressed his frustration with the instant success model that the entertainment industry has fallen into:
“This is the kind of mentality we see now, where they say, ‘If a show doesn’t get 16 million views in the first 28 days, it’s not worth anyone’s attention.’ It’s really frustrating because I think there are also a lot of people who refuse to invest in a new show knowing that it might end up getting cancelled.”

I couldn't get on the plane.
There's a lot to like about it. RatchedThe set design is what viewers have come to expect from Netflix-backed shows. Paulson's performance is excellent, even if some audience members have questions about her character and the plot details that keep her going.
Whenever a new show takes on a popular character from a previous work, it's always a challenge. Sometimes, it works (see other series on Netflix, Wednesdayafter Wednesday Addams), and at other times, as with RatchedNo, no. A second season was confirmed early on, but that decision was eventually canceled.
