Who is Shadow the Hedgehog?
It was introduced in the 2001 video game “Sonic Adventure 2Shadow is an artificially created life form, dubbed the “Ultimate Life Form” by its creator Dr. Robotnik. Shadow began as Sonic's arch rival, is often portrayed as an antihero and is expected to play a major role in the third installment. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3Pat Casey and Josh Miller have all but confirmed this when they previously revealed which video games they want to draw inspiration from.

Directed once again by Jeff Fowler and written by Pat Casey, Josh Miller and John Whittington, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 The film stars Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, alongside James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Tika Sumpter, Colin O'Shaughnessy, Lee Majdoub, Idris Elba, Keanu Reeves, and Jim Carrey, who will reprise his role as Dr. Ivo Robotnik.

The film is scheduled to be released in theaters by Paramount Pictures in the United States on December 20, 2024.
