Even when he was Director M. Night Shyamalan continues to enjoy one of the most impressive careers in Hollywood. The director’s recent work has been less complex than his best-known work, but he reliably delivers films that are tense, high-quality, original, and refreshing. His latest is trapAfter a respectable performance at the box office, trap The film will be available for purchase digitally at midnight ET, August 30/9:00 PT on August 29 on services like Prime Video and Apple TV. While it is still in theaters, it is available for purchase for $24.99 in SD, HD, or UHD formats and will be available to rent for $19.99.
The film stars Josh Hartnett as Cooper, a loving father who accompanies his daughter to an Eras Tour-style concert. Cooper is also a serial killer called “The Butcher”, who is cornered (or rather cornered) by the police within the confines of the stadium (this is not a spoiler – it's in the marketing and becomes clear from the first act).

Night fans who prefer to wait, trap The film will almost certainly be available on Max. It is being distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, which also owns Warner Bros. Discovery, along with Max. The film is set to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on November 5, and can be pre-ordered now at Target or Amazon.
Hartnett has recently leaned into his status as an “indie nerd,” saying, Rolling Stone He was drawn to Shymelan's script because of its originality. “It's like watching Die Hard through the eyes of Hans Gruber… It's high-end entertainment, intended for a mass audience, but it's completely new. We don't need the intellectual property or a previous film to create a sequel to it to be entertaining for the audience. That doesn't happen very often anymore.”
