Killer Mike has released a new song titled “Detonator.” The powerful track, produced by Run the Jewels rapper collaborator El-P and featuring Rock D The Legend, has been written for an upcoming video game. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
In the song, Killer Mike sings about “money and power” in America, admitting, “Empire, we're led by these liars / Wake up now, 'cause times are getting tough.” A black-and-white music video for “Detonator” features Washington, D.C., as well as iconography from the game itself.
“When Activision told me what the game was about and what they were looking for, I knew exactly who to contact,” Killer Mike said in a statement. “Plus, I was dying to sing some El-P tunes.”
