But when a guest’s body washes up on the beach the night before the wedding, the day becomes a mad scramble to uncover secrets, motives and what happened.

Of course, The identity of the killer is touched upon throughout, with numerous errors and distortions pointing to one character or another. As with any good murder mystery, subtle clues throughout the story either point viewers to the real killer or make them believe it's someone else. But some hidden clues reveal plot twists that people may have missed.

Conversation between Thomas and Taj in The Perfect Couple

In the first episode, when the whole family arrives, Winberry's eldest son Thomas (Jack Reynor) goes to talk to his father, Tag (Schreiber), by the water. He asks him for a loan, noting that he has had some opportunities, but has clearly made some bad ones and lost a lot of his money. Tag indirectly says that he won't give his son any money. Later, Thomas' wife Abby (Dakota Fanning) asks Thomas how the conversation went. He ignores her, implying that everything is fine. But she clearly knows that it isn't.

Her panic was palpable, as she reminded him on numerous occasions that they had a baby on the way, not to mention a certain lifestyle they needed to maintain. While her desperation wasn’t apparent at first, looking back it’s clear that she had gone to Cape Cod with one goal beyond just attending her brother-in-law’s wedding. She needed to make money so she and her growing family could survive until Thomas could find a financial solution.

Thomas's relationship with Isabel in The Perfect Couple

Netflix

At first, Thomas’s relationship with family friend Isabelle Nalet (Isabelle Adjani) comes as a surprise. Thomas seems to love her, even be infatuated with her. But she’s happy to have nothing more than a casual physical relationship with no strings attached. However, when Isabelle reveals that she lent Thomas a large sum of money, it adds a layer of complexity to the situation. While she later tells the police that she realizes she would be foolish to ever think of getting the money back, Maybe Abby felt that this money was keeping Thomas tied to Isabel. While she didn't admit it until the final episode, fans suspect that Abby knew about the affair all along.

This is most clearly demonstrated when she wakes up early in the morning to find Thomas getting ready to go for a run, yet he grabs something from the drawer of his bedside table. She is later shown angrily cleaning out the drawer, which contains, among other things, a stack of pills. This seems odd behavior, and her angry face suggests that she knows more than she is letting on.

Abby's friendship with Amelia was out of character.

In a later episode after Benji and Amelia's breakup is revealed, Abby is weirdly nice to Amelia. She goes out of her way to make her ex-sister-in-law feel welcome. She offers to accompany Amelia to a party and acts like she's a new friend in front of everyone else. It seems so out of character that it even confuses Amelia. But It seemed like she was grasping at straws to make sure she didn't arouse suspicion.Amelia wanted to see her as a friend, not someone to kill.

Cleaning the glass in the movie The Perfect Husband

Early on, Amelia meets Abby in the kitchen. She's by the sink, scooping a single cup violently. This seems strange because Abby is not the type to do this kind of work, let alone do it in her mother-in-law's house. The housekeeper, Josia (Irina Dubova) later reveals that she is annoyed by the way Abby constantly asks her to clean things up.In an earlier scene, Abby was seen pointing at Josiah, which should have been a clue that washing the rogue cup was unusual for her.

Amelia didn't think much of it until evidence pointed to barbiturates in Merritt's system at the time of her death. Knowing that her best friend hadn't used drugs and certainly wouldn't have tried anything while pregnant, she figured it was both. Glass is the only element that ultimately helps solve the case. But viewers might have come to this conclusion if they thought more about this simple, “damned place” scene. flow The perfect couple On Netflix.
