Donald Trump appeared at a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, on Saturday, his first visit to the state since CNN reported that Trump-backed gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson made lewd and divisive comments — including calling himself a “black Nazi,” expressing support for reviving slavery, and admitting to enjoying porn featuring trans actors — on the porn site Nude Africa more than a decade ago.
Trump has acknowledged a number of Republicans while completely avoiding any mention of Robinson during his rhetorical, racist tirade, which has included his typical unsubstantiated rants that immigrants are destroying our country, this time claiming that they are “raiding villages and cities all over the Midwest” and that “every job” created in the United States in the past two years has gone to immigrants. He said women would be better off if he were re-elected, claiming that “women would be happy, healthy, confident, and free.
