Drake Announces Potential Collaborative Album With PartyNextDoor

After rumors swirled earlier this week that he was set to release an album with producer Conductor Williams this year, Drake has announced a collaborative album with PartyNextDoor that will likely arrive this fall.

Drake appeared at PartyNextDoor's Party and Friends concert in Toronto last night, waiting until the end of his show to share the news that the collaborative album would be out this fall. “I know you're all out there and when it gets a little chilly, PartyNextDoor and Drake will be waiting for you,” he said, noting that the heat has to cool down before he can release the album this fall.

During his appearance at PartyNextDoor, he performed “Sweeterman,” which leaked as a snippet in 2015 but was never released in full. While on stage, he also performed “Finesse,” “Redemption,” and “Come and See Me,” his 2016 collaboration with PartyNextDoor. Drake also teamed up with Roy Woods for “Drama,” and for anyone who's been following the internet, he performed a rendition of Plain White T's “Wah Gwan Delilah.”

Drake has been relatively quiet over the past few months following a heated feud with Kendrick Lamar that led to a back-and-forth over the recording that ended somewhat in May with his song “The Heart Pt. 6.” Since then, Lamar has emerged objectively victorious with “Not Like Us,” which has rocketed up the charts and become a contender for Song of the Summer.

Otherwise, Drake has been popping up here and there by posting photos on Instagram. He recently appeared on two songs on producer Gordo's new album, “Diamante.”
