Indian star Shahrukh Khanwho was recently in Locarno to celebrate, teamed up with his sons. Aryan Khan and Abram As a voice actor for the Hindi version of Disney's upcoming film “Mufasa: The Lion”.
The film is directed by Barry JenkinThe film follows the rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands, and also introduces us to an orphaned lion cub named Mufasa, a compassionate lion named Taka – heir to a royal line – and their vast journey alongside an unusual group of outcasts. The film features original songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda The English voice cast includes Aaron Pierre as Mufasa, Donald Glover as Simba, and Brelynn Rankins as young Mufasa.
The film is slated to hit the Indian theatres on December 20 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Nippon TV Deal struck with Malaysian pay-TV and content group Astrofor the local adaptation of two of the Japanese company's award-winning screenplay formats. Astro Channel is set to air the Malay version of “Love is on the horizon!” (“Dari Mata Turun ke Hati” in Malaysia) starting from August 12 and “semester” (“Kelas Tahanan Cikgu Hiragi” in Malaysia) to follow.
“Love on the Horizon!”, adapted from a successful manga, vividly depicts the lives of social minorities and follows a strong-minded girl who attends a school for the blind due to her poor eyesight and falls in love with a man her parents disapprove of. “Main Room,” previously adapted in Turkey and Thailand, follows the chain reaction that follows a teacher who takes 29 students hostage, and uncovers the truth behind a classmate’s suicide for no apparent reason.

Set in Hindi across key years in India’s history – 1990, 2001 and 2016, amidst the magic of the Himalayan mountain ranges – it is an interwoven tale that unravels layers of mysticism and science. The screenplay has been written by Sunjoy Shekhar and Puja Banerji and brought to life by veteran Indian director Umesh BeastStarring Raghav Juyal, Kritika Kamra and Dhariya Karwa.
Pattaya Preview
After debuting last year, Pattaya Film Festival The second edition of the exhibition will be held from August 21 to 25 in Pattaya, Thailand.
Highlights of the competitive programme are six films: “Sea Sparkle” (Denmark), “Gitling” (Philippines), “The Monk and the Gun” (Bhutan), “Great Phuket” (China), “The Tenants” (South Korea), and “The Last Shadow at First Light” (Singapore).
The Panorama section of the festival will include: “The taste of things” “Next Sohee” “One for the Road” and “Not Friends”, both from Thailand, Ryuichi Sakamoto: Oops! and two classic thai movies “Last life in the universe” And “Somseri 422R”.
Guests are expected to include Portuguese director Joao Pedro Rodrigues and Malaysian director Amanda Neil Yu (“Tiger Stripes”). The festival will also host lectures, training courses, seminars and documentary film screenings led by international mentors.
The festival is hosted by Pattaya, in collaboration with the Department of Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism (DASTA) and the Thai Film Archive.

Asia Society The Asia Game Changer Foundation has announced the winners of its 2024 Awards, which honor individuals and groups whose work has strengthened connections between Asia and the world. The awards ceremony and dinner will be held on October 24 at Cipriani in New York.
