Check out Dead Boy Detectives’ official synopsis below.

“Meet Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri), ‘the brains’ and ‘the brawn’ behind the Dead Boy Detectives agency. Teenagers born decades apart who find each other only in death, Edwin and Charles are best friends and ghosts… who solve mysteries. They will do anything to stick together – including escaping evil witches, Hell and Death herself. With the help of a clairvoyant named Crystal (Kassius Nelson) and her friend Niko (Yuyu Kitamura), they are able to crack some of the mortal realm’s most mystifying paranormal cases.”

Alongside Rexstrew, Revri, Nelson, and Kitamura, the series’ ensemble cast includes Jenn Lyon (Claws), Briana Cuoco (The Flight Attendant), Yuyu Kitamura, Ruth Connell (Supernatural), Lukas Gage (The White Lotus), and David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty).

Dead Boy Detectives was developed by Steve Yockey (The Flight Attendant), who serves as co-showrunner alongside Beth Schwartz (Arrowverse). Greg Berlanti, Yockey, Schwartz, Jeremy Carver, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, and Gaiman serve as executive producers. Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television produce Dead Boy Detectives. The pilot episode is directed by Lee Toland Krieger, who previously tackled the dark corners of the teen world with directorial efforts on Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. The last episode, The Case of the Hungry Snake, is directed by Peter Chatmon, who has been at the helm of episodes of shows including Ghosts, The Flight Attendant, and You.

Along with Dead Boy Detectives, Netflix’s anticipated April additions include Ripley, based on Patricia Highsmith’s 1955 novel The Talented Mr. Ripley and starring Andrew Scott, Dakota Fanning, and Johnny Flynn, which lands on the streamer April 4; The Circle’s sixth season which begins on April 17; and the acclaimed BBC miniseries Boiling Point also making its way to Netflix, available to stream on April 29, 2024.
