CBS Mornings is likely to get more time in the sun soon.
CBS News and station executives are developing plans to add a third hour of the morning news program, according to a memo sent to staff Friday by Shawna Thomas, the weekday morning show's executive producer.
“One of the worst kept secrets at CBS News is the truth,” Thomas said. “I have been working with a few of our colleagues to develop a third hour of CBS Mornings that we believe will air in late September. It is being developed for a few of our owned stations and will be simulcast on CBS News 24/7.”
