Kaufman also revealed that out of all the cast members in friendsPerry was the person she kept in touch with the most. Before his death, the two spoke regularly, and Kaufman said he “seemed really good.”
“He's the person I've had the most contact with. About two weeks ago [he died] He and I talked on FaceTime, and he seemed really good.
In addition to discussing Perry, Kaufman and colleagues, friends Creator David Crane talked about the show's longevity, and whether they still watch it today. While the comedy has been heavily criticized over the years for its humor, which was definitely a product of its time, the duo says they don't watch it very often.
“I watch it again sometimes when no one is watching me do it.” Kaufman said, and Crane added: “I can watch it for about a minute. Sometimes I'm happy, but most of the time I'm like, 'Wow, really? This is the joke? Couldn't we have had five more minutes? This is the joke?'
