“Chuck Chuck Baby is a musical comedy-drama that celebrates the friendship and love of working-class women,” Pugh says. “I think from the moment I started writing this film, I really wanted the audience to cry and laugh and sing and cry a little bit more and then go home with the film in their hearts and tear down their own walls.”
Pugh's work Chuck Chuck Baby draws inspiration from her upbringing in North Wales, where she was surrounded by dynamic working-class women – a tangible energy she reflects in her work, which explores the beauty and brutality of life.
