American rapper A$AP Rocky has released a new song titled “Highjack,” which features Los Angeles-based folk-pop singer Jessica Pratt. So I always approached it as an artist, so I thought it was important to make it, and Jon Batiste on this, and make it feel spiritual to bring it home at the end.”
The rapper explained the song's theme, “I feel like the truth has come back, like this shit is waiting to be taken over. It's a kidnapping. Not only that, but we're bringing a whole new aesthetic to everything, especially with German Expressionism and everything about the bleak future of the ghetto. So that's the sound and all that. It's the sound of the music.”
“I've been working on this stuff, this material for a while now, and I've been doing some tweaks and fixes and stuff. So that was one of the things we decided to do, that was in the summer and here we are. We shot a visual, yeah, that's part of the new saga,” he added.
