The dreamy new song is the singer, actress and TikTok star's first solo release since 2023.
Addison Rae has reignited her career with “Diet Pepsi,” her first single since last year. It's also Rae's first official single on Columbia Records.
The dreamy new song carries the spirit of Ray. born to die-Lana Del Rey. It's a love song filled with nostalgic imagery as she explores young love. “When we drive in your car, I'm your baby (so cute)/I lose all my innocence in the back seat,” she sings in the clip.
A video was released to coincide with the song's debut, showing Rae riding shotgun in the black-and-white image which also shows her crushing bananas with her feet, feeding her driver/love cherries with her toes, and draped in an American flag.
Rae was part of an early wave of viral creators on TikTok, first posting dance videos to the platform in 2019. She made her music career debut in 2021 with the song “Obsessed,” released via Sandlot Records. That same year, she made her film debut on Netflix It's all thata remake of the 1999 film. It's all thatLast fall, she starred in Eli Roth's horror film Thanksgiving Day.
After “Obsessed”, Rae began promoting more music. Clips of songs began circulating online, and Rae eventually released her first album.
