Anime Shows Releasing in April 2024

Spring is likely the most exciting month for anime fans because, while a roster of new releases is brought out each season, spring lineups are often filled with anticipated sequels and unexpected anime adaptations. Furthermore, the weekly episodes running since the beginning of the year add to the fun, making it the year’s most rewarding season.

The previous spring season saw the release of Dr. Stone, Demon Slayer, Hell’s Paradise, and many other popular titles, and the trend will continue this year. In addition to some eagerly anticipated anime adaptations of popular isekai manga, there are sequels to popular series like Konosuba. So, without further ado, here is a list of every anime that will be released in April 2024.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3

Streaming on Netflix Apr. 5

Despite the somewhat goofy-sounding title, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is one of the best isekai anime of all time, with solid storytelling and stunning visuals to back up its escapades. In 2021, the anime delivered one of the strongest second seasons in isekai history, with Rimuru Tempest evolving into a True Demon Lord.

In Season 3, Rimuru formally becomes the Demon King in front of several races at the Nation Festival. At the opposite end, Hinata, the leader of the Holy Knights, is on her way to Tempest, hoping to put an end to Rimuru’s tyranny. Season 3 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will be available on Netflix starting Apr. 5.

Re: Monster is an upcoming isekai anime based on Kogitsune Kanekiru’s manga of the same name. As one of the most anticipated anime series of 2024, it tells the story of Tomokui Kanata, who is reincarnated into a fantasy world following his untimely demise. While being reborn in a magical world could be wonderful, it may not be as great as it seems because he’s born as the weakest goblin named Goburou. How will Goburou survive in this new world with just a status system that provides an edge despite overwhelming disadvantages? Re: Monster is streaming on Crunchyroll on Apr. 5.
