Anna Faris Would Return to ‘Scary Movie’ Franchise for Regina Hall

Actress Anna Faris wants to reprise her role as Cindy Campbell in the Scary Movie franchise, provided certain conditions are met.

In an interview with People magazine, Faris was asked what it would take for her to return to the series for a new installment, and she replied decisively: “Well, money!”

She continued, saying she would “love to reprise her role” if she could star alongside her former “Horror Movie” co-star, Regina Hall, who played Brenda in the satirical horror film series.

“I would love to work with Regina again. I love her so much,” Faris said. “We would make each other laugh all day long. Regina Hall would be the answer. And the money. But most of all Regina!”

Faris and Hall starred in the first four installments of the satirical film series. Despite their on-screen chemistry, neither Faris nor Hall appeared in 2013's Scary Movie 5, which starred Simon Rex and Ashley Tisdale. In April, Paramount and Miramax announced plans to reboot the franchise, bringing in Fast and Furious producer Neal H. Moritz to revive the dormant franchise.

Faris, who got her big break with 2000's “Scary Movie,” recalled how she learned her best comedic skills while working on those films.

“If there’s a parallel between high school and my experience growing up, those four movies played a huge role in my life in terms of teaching me how to use props, teaching me how to fall, teaching me how to take headshots — how to hold Chiclets in my mouth and then spit them out with blood in time for the camera,” she told People magazine.

Faris stars in Peter Segal's action comedy “My Spy: The Eternal City,” which is now available on Prime Video.
