Sneakers, clothing, musical instruments and other memorabilia from Tim “Avicii” Bergling’s personal collection will be available for purchase as part of an auction to support the late DJ’s foundation. The Tim Bergling Foundation advocates for the recognition of suicide as a global health crisis and actively works to remove the stigma associated with suicide and mental health issues.
Stockholm Auction House in Avicii’s native Sweden will offer The Avicii Collection, an auction of 267 lots donated by his family. All proceeds will be donated to the Tim Bergling Foundation.
“We are extremely proud to be presenting this auction,” said Cecilia Jaff, CEO of Stockholm Auctionswerk. “Tim Bergling has touched countless people around the world and continues to do so through his music and the foundation the family has established in his name. It is a real honour to support the Tim Bergling Foundation to help more young people. We have 350 years of experience in moving works of art from some of history’s most prominent cultural figures and we consider this a privilege.”
Avicii died by suicide at the age of 28 in 2018. He gained popularity as a DJ as a teenager and released his first single in 2007 before releasing a slew of singles and remixes in the years that followed.
The live auction will take place at Nybrogatan 32 in Stockholm and online on October 1 at 3 p.m. local time (9 a.m. ET, 6 a.m. PT). The online auction will be posted on September 6. The viewing at Nybrogatan 32 will be open to the public from September 24 to 30.
