Laika celebrates the anniversary of its hit film “Coraline” with limited-edition product offerings

To celebrate the 15th anniversary Years after the terrifying story of a girl named – well, you know – Laika Studios invites fans into the other world with brand new films. Coraline Exclusives as the film re-releases in theaters this summer.
Based on the 2002 book of the same name by Neil Gaiman, February this year marked the film's anniversary, CoralineThe fan base has only grown since then. This is especially due to the fact that the still-motion classic has been in theaters in 3D since August 15, and has already grossed $11.31 million domestically (roughly the same amount the film made on its opening weekend in 2009).
The animated film follows Coraline Jones as she moves to the Pacific Northwest to the Pink Palace with her family and discovers an idyllic alternate world behind a secret door in her new home. There, she finds the button-eyed doppelgängers of her family and neighbors, including her “other mother,” who is hiding some dark and sinister secrets. The theatrical re-release has sparked renewed interest in the original film, from limited-edition Blu-Ray sales, to exclusive merchandise collaborations like Funko Pop! figures and the upcoming Wildfang collection of button-up shirts and Converse high-tops—just in time for Halloween, of course.

Limited Edition Coraline Steelbook 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray [4K UHD]

The Blu-ray also includes deleted scenes, original footage, a “making of the film” special, and interviews with director Henry Selick and composer Bruno Coulais. It’s selling fast, though (the site says more than 700 copies have been sold in the past few weeks alone), so you’ll want to act fast.
