We spoke to the veteran TV actor. Patrick Fabian resulting in the release of the way we talkwhich will be released to the public this week. Fabian plays a soft-spoken intellectual named Simon, who may remind us of Best Saul on Call Fans of Fabian who was critically acclaimed for his role as Howard Hamlin in the award-winning series. Now that Best Saul on Call The truth has finally been found out, and posthumous debate has raged over whether Howard was, after all, a decent human being.
“I think you could make a quick case, over the six seasons of this show, that Howard is the only person who's consistent in his character and what he's trying to do, which is basically just maintaining a law firm,” Fabian tells MovieWeb.It's these crazy McGill brothers and other characters who kind of send, you know, [Howard] In a whirlpool“This is unfortunate.”
Fabian continues to draw parallels with his determined and opportunistic character Simon in the exciting new film. the way we talk:
“[Howard] He shares a lot of the same idea with Simon, you know, when you're talking from the outside in about things, it's easy to say, like, “Oh, Simon.
this
Simon is
who
“But I certainly didn't think it was like this.”
I think Simon is just trying to get what he wants, and he has very bad tools to do it.

“Starstruck” by Patrick Fabian
the way we talk Writer and director Ian Ebright joined Fabian for our interview – and like us, he's a big Best Saul on Call “It was season 6 when I cried on the couch.” [at Fabian’s shocking moment]“And six months later, Patrick and I were working together,” Ebright said. “So, on my first film as a writer and director, I got to have that sweet voice, like, ‘Wow, that’s his iconic voice in the room.’ … It was really fun. I don’t feel like I’m a star-struck person, but I got a little bit of that because he’s so good at the show.”
Ebright’s new film centers on a series of heated debates that Simon, played by Fabian, has on a prestigious stage with a religious writer named Sarah (Kylie Rhodes). We watch them argue eloquently about whether God has a place in our world. “I thought religion was the closest thing to politics, you know, in that everyone is so strongly political, and everyone is so strongly religious or non-religious,” Ebright says. “So this seemed more interesting and more plausible as a backdrop to the whole thing.”
Given the hot issues discussed in the way we talkEbright also shares how his new film can serve as a cautionary tale:
“I think we as humans are capable of convincing ourselves of anything. So we take these political views – or religious ones for the sake of this film – very seriously.“And that's not questioned in the movie, but we use it to do some extreme things, you know? So I think the cautionary aspect of this for Simon and Sarah might be: Is it worth it?”
