Beyoncé ‘Was Never Scheduled’ to Attend 2024 DNC

Despite weeks of rumors and unconfirmed reports that she would perform or at least introduce Kamala Harris, Beyoncé is “never scheduled” to attend the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

“Beyoncé was never scheduled to attend, and the report of a performance is incorrect,” a representative for the singer told The Hollywood Reporter.

Her absence came as a surprise to many. The 32-time Grammy Award-winning artist agreed to Harris's campaign using her song “Freedom” from her album “Lemonade” in a campaign video, and has since allowed the campaign to use the song throughout its campaign.

Additionally, the singer previously endorsed the Joe Biden/Harris ticket in 2000, sang in support of Hillary Clinton four years before that, and performed at Barack Obama's second inauguration in 2013.

Harris will be the evening's keynote speaker, concluding a week-long convention that will culminate with her accepting the Democratic nomination as the party's presidential candidate in the 2024 election against former President Donald Trump.

According to NBC News, Harris' speech will praise President Joe Biden, highlight her political positions and detail her personal story and professional background in her quest for the presidency.

Harris' remarks will cap off the Chicago conference, which has since included speeches from former President Barack Obama, former first lady Michelle Obama, former President Bill Clinton, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, media mogul Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling and vice presidential candidate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

The Democratic National Convention telecast was watched by over 20 million people, according to Nielsen ratings, and you can stream the final night of the convention on ABC, CBS, NBC, Scripps News, CNN, CNN Business, FOX News Channel, MSNBC, Newsmax, NewsNation and PBS.
