Marvel Studios did not disappoint with… Reckless: Born Again Showing at D23 on Friday night. The revival series stars Charlie Cox The original cast has released their first trailer for the show, with the main cast on stage, giving hope that the series will stand out among the newer MCU releases. While the trailer hasn't been officially released (so we can't include it here), some copycat versions are making the rounds on social media.
The fan response to the announcement from those in attendance, as well as fans seeing the updates on social media, has been extremely enthusiastic and positive, with Many have described it as more like season 4 of a Netflix original series than a new series. Although we already knew from unofficial set photos that Jon Bernthal would be returning as Frank Castle (The Punisher), his presence at the screening and the character's appearance in the trailer confirmed it.
Marvel Studios has released a video of the main cast gathered on the D23 stage, including Charlie Cox, Jon Bernthal, Vincent D'Onofrio, Elden Henson, and Deborah Ann Woll.
The series' villain, Muse, makes a brief appearance in the trailer. The villain, who first appeared in the comics in 2016, is a serial killer and street artist with superpowers. In a brief glimpse provided by the trailer, Muse wears an all-white costume, very comic-accurate, with black ink dripping from the eye holes in the mask..
Of course, The Kingpin is back, after appearing in the Disney+ Marvel series, echoD'Onofrio took the stage to a standing ovation, as seen in a video posted by Marvel Studios on Twitter.
This video from Marvel shows the rest of the cast taking the stage.
Among the confirmations made in the trailer and panel are a release date of March 2025, and Season 2 has been confirmed and production will begin soon. The White Tiger has been confirmed to appear in the series, and a screenshot from the trailer revealed several Daredevil helmets on display in a sort of hideout, including the traditional yellow, black and red helmets, which sent many fans crazy on social media.
Suffice to say, fans are excited.

Daredevil's return trip after cancellation
When the Netflix original series was canceled in 2018, it seemed like Cox's days as Matt Murdock and The Man Without Fear were over. However, continued pressure from fans caused Disney to bring the character back for a brief appearance, first in Spider-Man: No Way Homethen in the Disney+ series. What's wrong? And finally a short appearance in echo. It was clear that fans wanted Matt Murdock in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not a rebooted character, and Marvel Studios did the smart thing.
Initially, Marvel seemed reluctant to bring back the entire cast, especially Bernthal, Henson, and Woll. Eventually, Marvel saw the light here too, and confirmed that everyone would be back, giving fans what they wanted and making the reunion complete.
