Bradley Whitford Slams Cheryl Hines After RFK Jr. Endorses Trump

Recently, actor Bradley Whitford, star of “The West Wing” and “Get Out,” took to social media to criticize Cheryl Hines for her silence on her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s endorsement of Donald Trump for president in the upcoming election. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had launched his own presidential campaign, but officially dropped out of the race on August 23 and threw his weight behind Trump.

“Hello Cheryl Hines, how can you remain silent while your crazy husband supports a rapist sentenced to death who brags about stripping women of their basic rights,” Whitford wrote on X. “Courageous. Great example to children. Brave person.”

After Robert Kennedy Jr. dropped out of the race, Haines took to social media to praise his campaign team, writing: “They accomplished feats that were said to be impossible. They collected over a million signatures, more than any candidate in history, and they achieved access to ballot boxes across the country despite the barriers and lawsuits that were brought against them for the sole purpose of keeping Bobby off the ballot so that no one would have the opportunity to vote for him.”

The Curb Your Enthusiasm star ended her statement by not endorsing any party, writing: “Over the past year and a half, I have met some extraordinary people from all parties — Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. It has been my experience that the vast majority of all parties are genuinely good people who want the best for our country and for others.”

Haines' refusal to criticize her husband for his support of Trump sparked widespread controversy, which Whitford noted in his post. Meanwhile, Robert Kennedy Jr.'s family criticized him for his support of Trump.

“We want an America filled with hope and bound together by a shared vision for a brighter future,” Kerry Kennedy wrote in a statement signed by her three siblings. “We believe in Harris and Walz. Our brother Bobby’s decision to endorse Trump today is a betrayal of the values that our father and our family hold dear.”
