Brillante Mendoza, Rima Das to Light up Jiseok Section


The latest feature films by well-known Asian directors including Brillante Mendoza, Tom Lin and Rima Das have been selected for the JISOK Competition section of the Busan International Film Festival.

The festival also unveiled the line-up for the New Currents competition, dedicated to less experienced filmmakers and which has served as an important platform for discovering talent over many years.

This year's lineup of new films includes two each from Japan and South Korea, along with others from Myanmar, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

The festival is scheduled to take place from October 2 to 11, 2024. Its full selection will be announced on Tuesday.
