Bruno Mars helped open the new Intuit Dome in Los Angeles last week, and the singer turned to an LA native to help him with his look for the night.
Mars took to the stage at the new venue wearing an exclusive look from AMIRI, the namesake luxury clothing brand designed by Mike Ameri. Mars wore an AMIRI Vintage Pink Camp T-shirt, a burnt orange shirt, and black striped cargo pants as he performed in front of a packed crowd. Not only was the look specially chosen for Mars, but the singer was also the first to wear pieces from AMIRI’s spring/summer 2025 collection, which debuted at Paris Fashion Week in June.
Mars says Rolling Stone He wanted to pay homage to Los Angeles—and the new venue—by wearing something from a local designer. And who better to turn to than AMIRI, whose clothes and accessories have been seen on everyone from Justin Bieber and Maluma to Post Malone and Beyoncé. AMIRI (the brand) is now sold everywhere from SSENSE to Saks Fifth Avenue and beyond. “Thank you Mike and the team for helping us show the love for LA on opening night,” says Mars.
“I am honored that Bruno Mars has chosen to wear AMIRI exclusively for these unique Spring/Summer 2025 concerts, celebrating his talent and the opening of the new Intuit Dome in Los Angeles,” Mike Ameri said in a statement. “This city is our home, and artists like Bruno are always at the heart of our inspiration. For a season inspired by true music icons, it was an honor to dress one of the greatest artists of the 21st century, for a moment that will live on in history.”
In addition to coordinating Mars' outfits, AMIRI pieces were also seen on his backing band, The Hooligans, who all wore AMIRI Core Collection's signature Kick Flare pants and bowling shirts to complement the Grammy-winning artist's look.
Mars and The Hooligans have long been known for their laid-back, vintage-inspired aesthetics, and Gallegos says the new AMIRI collection was the perfect complement to their amazing performances.
“For the Intuit Expo, it was a great opportunity to showcase Los Angeles, my hometown,” says Gallegos. Rolling Stone“We wanted to highlight a Los Angeles brand, and Amiri turned out to be the perfect fit for the moment and Bruno’s current style.”
Not only did March's performance at the Intuit Dome help inaugurate the new venue, which will be home to the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers, it also helped usher in a new era of music for the singer, with Lady Gaga joining him on stage last week to perform their first single, “Die With a Smile.”
