BTS star showcases the song from his second solo album, contemplationon the late night show
BTS' Jimin gave a special performance of “Who,” the song from his second solo album, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon On Monday night.
The pre-recorded video featured Jimin surrounded by dancers as they walked through an abandoned building, with a banner flashing the song's title in the background. “We've never met, but she's all I see at night/ We've never met, but she's always on my mind,” Jimin confessed in the video, before singing, “I want to give her the world and so much more/ Who's waiting for my heart?”
Jimin was released contemplation Last week, which included the Beatles-inspired track “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco).” In a statement from Hybe and BigHit Music, the LP was described as a documentation of the singer’s “journey to find his muse.”
Jimin is currently completing his mandatory military service duties in South Korea after enlisting in December 2023. Before beginning his service as an active duty soldier, Jimin sent fans a heartfelt love letter in the form of his solo song “Closer Than This.”
Referencing BTS's journey throughout his verses, Jimin sings in the song: “On the spring day we meet again, I'll tell you everything I couldn't say before/ My love, my love, by your side forever/ Seven equals one, right, our hearts still beat as one.”
The artist will also appear alongside BTS member Jungkook in a new travel series titled are you sure?!which will premiere on Disney+ on August 8. The show, which was filmed before their military service began, will follow the duo as they travel to New York, Jeju Island in South Korea and Sapporo in Japan.
