K-pop boy band BTS's Jungkook is set to release a new documentary titled “Jungkook: I Still Am” — said to be a video diary of the singer's eight-month journey to his solo debut — in theaters worldwide on September 18.
The film is directed by Junsoo Park, who has directed the majority of the numerous films dedicated to BTS and its eight members, as well as other films released by Big Hit Music, BTS's South Korean record label. “Jung Kook: I Am Still” will premiere on September 18, with limited screenings worldwide in more than 120 countries and regions.
At the time of publishing this article, a full list of those cities has not yet been released. Ticket sales for the shows will begin on August 21.
In a press release, Big Hit Entertainment described the documentary as starting around the time Jungkook released “Seven,” a song featuring American rapper Lato, in the lead-up to his first solo album, “Golden.” “The film features never-before-seen exclusive footage and interviews, along with exciting live performances that delve into the creative process, unwavering work ethic, and unique challenges of being a global superstar,” the statement continues. “It offers viewers an intimate look at the journey behind his first solo album that showcased the peak of Jungkook’s prowess and propelled him into a global pop star.”
“Seven (feat. Latto)” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 as the lead single from the album “Golden”, which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
“It's my first official solo appearance, so everything is challenging and feels new and fresh,” Cook said. diverse “Last summer, of course, I think a lot about making good music and performing while working on my music. But above all, since this is my first step into the spotlight as a solo artist, I want to show a more mature and mature version of myself.”
