Focus Features has set a release date for Steven Soderbergh’s “Black Bag,” starring Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender. The spy drama is set to hit theaters on March 14.
Universal Pictures International will handle the international release, while Focus Features will handle domestic distribution.
The film also stars Régé-Jean Page, Marissa Abela, Naomie Harris, Tom Burke, and Pierce Brosnan. The screenplay was written by David Koepp, while Casey Silver and Greg Jacobs produced.
Focus Features plans to release several films, including “Piece By Piece,” an animated film directed by Morgan Neville that tells the life story of Pharrell Williams using Lego bricks. The company will also release “Nosferatu,” directed by Robert Eggers, the thriller “Conclave,” directed by Edward Berger, the Sundance Award-winning “Didi,” directed by Sean Wang, “Bugonia,” directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, starring Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons, and the third film in the “Downton Abbey” series.
