“I've been trained how to act, but this is the most stressful thing in the world for me,” she said.

“I say this with peace, love and blessings. The actors are absolutely crazy,” she said in the interview with SNL“I’m so intimidated by people in the movie business. I’ve been asked in the last two weeks, ‘Do you want the lead role in XYZ?’ and I said, ‘No.’”
“I appreciate that, but literally, no. I originally started doing music because I wanted to get my foot in the door to acting, and then I moved to L.A., and I was like, ‘To hell with this,’” she continued. “The industry is really scary, and it’s completely out of my control.”
Ruan Liang said she would rather be in the driver's seat with her music, rather than leave her life's work in the hands of others who decide what she will do and when she will do it.
“I can put out music whenever I want,” she said. “I don’t have to wait for a casting director to say, ‘It would be great to cast you,’ and then decide your schedule for the next three months.”
Rowan later walked back her comments a bit, admitting she “might do a bit part” in a TV show or movie. She also said she would have to be “very specific and very silly” to pull it off.
“I’ve been trained on how to behave, but this is the most stressful thing for me,” she said. “I’d rather be arrested… because I know how to behave myself in prison.”
“It has to be the right thing and at the right time,” she added.
