The actor was found dead after being named as a suspect in a domestic violence case
Cole Brings Plenty, a budding actor who played Pete Plenty Clouds on Yellowstone spinoff series 1923, was found dead in Kansas, just days after he was reported missing and named as suspect at-large in a domestic violence case.
His body was discovered Friday morning in a wooden area in Kansas, according to the Johnson County, Kansas Sheriff’s office in a press release. “The investigation is ongoing,” the sheriff’s statement said, noting that the medical examiner and investigators were on the scene.
The actor’s father confirmed his death in a letter shared on Mo Brings Plenty’s Instagram, who is Cole Brings Plenty’s uncle. “I am deeply saddened to confirm that my son, Cole, has been found and is no longer with us. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for the prayers and positive thoughts you sent for Cole,” wrote his father. “We would also like to thank everyone who came to walk beside us as we searched for my son and provided the resources we needed to expand our search areas. I learned this week how many people knew the goodness in Cole’s heart and loved him.”
Mo Brings Plenty, who stars in Yellowstone, had released posts in search of his nephew throughout the week, and on Thursday, wrote, “We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone in the community who has contributed their time, resources and support in helping us search for the missing person.”
The 27-year-old missing Lakota actor also appeared on shows Into the Wild Frontier and The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger.
