Up, up, away! DC Universe Superman and Supergirl meet in a stunning piece of art that has been shared on social media. The new Man of Steel, David Corenswet, And the woman of tomorrow, Millie Alcock, These characters are brought to life in a stunning illustration inspired by DC Comics' classic 80-page mega-serial from 1964-65, which re-released stories featuring the last of Krypton's children. The artwork's style reflects the same aesthetic that James Gunn and his creative team chose when they revealed many of the characters from his 2025 film, Superman, In comic-like sketches, Corenswet was cast to play Clark Kent/Kal-El/Superman in June 2023, while Alcock was set to play Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, in January.

James Gunn's Superman movie ends filming
Over the weekend, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed his unique perspective on the DC-Marvel rivalry as San Diego Comic-Con 2024 kicked off. Meanwhile, James Gunn announced Superman The film didn't have a presence at the comic book convention, but DC Studios co-chairman and co-CEO John Cunningham announced via social media yesterday (Tuesday, July 30) that filming has officially wrapped on the Man of Steel's big-screen adventure in 2025. Gunn wrote in a social media post (via Instagram):

May God bless our crew and cast who brought this project to life with their commitment, creativity and hard work.
I decided to make a movie about a good man in a world that isn't always that easy.
And the kindness, the love, the goodness I encountered every day on set.
He inspired me and pushed me forward when I felt too overwhelmed to move on my own.Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
It was an honor for me.
The destination was Superman,
But the journey was all about effort, laughter, emotions, thoughts and magic that we shared together on set.
