How is Dexter alive?

There is not much information known yet about Dexter: ResurrectionOtherwise, Hall will return to play Dexter Morgan. Executive producers have also confirmed that The story will start where it came from. Dexter: New Blood AbandonedIt seems impossible to mention Dexter himself, since, as mentioned, he was supposedly killed. But This news suggests that the certainty of his death, which was verified by executive producer Clyde Phillips at the time, may not be certain at all..

Asked how he could return after his death was confirmed in that finale in 2022, Hall sheepishly asked, “Was it?” adding that he didn’t know what he was authorized to say, but “it’s really cold out there.”

Fan theories

Fans have been debating how Dexter could still be alive, with some interesting theories. One, put forward by Unique_Ad6226 on Reddit, is that He may have a condition called “right heart” where the heart is on the right side of the body instead of the left side as is the case for most people. So while Harrison is supposed to have shot Dexter in the heart, he likely missed due to the medical condition. “This would be a 10/10 write-up,” they add, noting the similarities between the condition's name and Dexter.

Supernatural elements involving Dexter's Dark Passenger could also be a possibility, though that seems completely at odds with the tone and approach of the show. Fans don't want to believe that Dexter is dead, but His ghost lives on through a dark passenger..

The prequel series “Dexter: Original Sin” won't be the last we see of the serial killer…

Hall's reference to the cold suggests that his situation may have a more practical explanation: The snow he collapsed into helped stop the bleeding long enough for him to regain consciousness and escape.Dexter knows enough about the human body to remove the bullet and bandage his wounds. This may be another case of Dexter faking his death and escaping, only to end up in another town where he tries to blend in again.

in Dexter: New Blood, Dexter often had hallucinations, seeing his sister Deborah (Jennifer Carpenter) talking to him, and seeing his father. It's a plausible theory that he was hallucinating all the time, trying to imagine what his son looked like..It makes sense because it's been hard to believe in all the time that's passed since then. Dexter In the end, the character was able to resist the desires of his all-powerful dark rider. He might have been killing all along.

What happened to Dexter in Dexter: The New Blood?

Dexter: New Blood The series was intended to correct the mistakes of the original series finale, which many have called one of the worst finales ever produced. Dexter faked his own death and moved to a small rural town in upstate New York. He took the name Jim Lindsay (a nod to author Jeff Lindsay who wrote the books on which the story and character are based) and worked at a local outdoor store while living in a remote cabin where he chopped a lot of wood. He had apparently been controlling his dark desires for years until he came across a man who fit the bill.

Eventually, he meets his son Harrison, who was still a young child when he left him with Hannah to live a better life. He learns that Hannah has sadly passed away, and after Harrison discovers letters proving that his father is still alive, he hunts him down to reconnect with him. While Harrison doesn't know who his real father is or what he did, he realizes that there is a reason his father ran away.

Everyone Dexter killed who didn't fit Harry's code.

Serial killer Dexter Morgan is known to adhere to a strict set of guidelines when choosing his victims, although he has broken Harry's code on occasion.

Dexter makes the difficult decision to tell his son who he is, believing after several angry encounters that Harrison may have a Dark Passenger of his own. Harrison initially seems accepting, realizing that Kurt (Clancy Brown) is a terrible person who does terrible things to people and therefore deserves to die. But when he sees what his father is capable of, including murdering another innocent man and ritually killing and dismembering bodies, he is horrified. Dexter realizes that the only way Harrison can live a normal life is for Dexter to die, and asks his son to shoot him.Despite his hesitation, Harrison does what he does.

Dexter's body is found by his girlfriend, Angela (Julia Jones), who is also a police officer. She gives Harrison money and tells him to leave town and never return. She will take responsibility for Dexter's death, claiming she was defending herself and exposing him as a murderer. But maybe she won't. Maybe he'll let him go, knowing he killed the man who murdered so many innocent women in the small town. Or maybe he'll kill Angela and get away before anyone else gets there. Since this is the end of the story, fans don't know exactly what happens next.

The last thing fans see is Harrison driving out of town reading the last letter Dexter wrote to Hannah. Dexter is presumed dead, but it's clear that may not be true.

What you should know about Dexter

Dexter Morgan didn't seem like your typical “normal” ruthless killer. Although he was very careful to follow his father Harry's code and only kill people he could prove to have committed heinous acts, his lack of remorse for these crimes was strangely understandable. He was cleaning up the streets and saving lives in the process.

He has shown some emotion in other situations, besides his general disdain for the typical human condition. When he discovers Rita's body in the bathtub after she becomes the latest victim of Arthur Mitchell, aka the Trinity Killer (John Lithgow), he seems upset. He also goes to great lengths to protect Astor (Christina Robinson) and Cody (Preston Bailey), refusing to kill Debra and showing genuine grief when his sister dies.

In his last moments in Dexter: New BloodDexter's inner monologue reveals that he believes he has finally felt love for the first time, and sacrificed himself for his son. He also wanted to atone for his failure as a father, which is the opposite of what a psychopath would do. Dexter is a nuanced character, and if he survives, his mindset could go either way. He can focus on reinventing himself as an upstanding citizen, staying out of situations that might get him into trouble, and finding other ways to crush his Dark Passenger.

Was Dexter based on a true story?

Dexter Morgan from Dexter is one of those characters that fans love, but are not satisfied with; fans wonder if he is based on a real person.

Or more likely, he may be pulled in the opposite direction and realize he's officially loved and lost and has nothing left to lose. Now he wants to make his survival worth something and eliminate anyone he feels doesn't deserve to live. An unbalanced Dexter who doesn't live by a code, or try to find logical ways to use his code to suit his own ends, could be an interesting departure from the more conservative Dexter fans up until this point.

Whatever direction the show goes, fans expect it to be the same Dexter they've come to know and love, oddly enough. Dexter It is the most successful series ever on Showtime, and with Dexter: New Blood and so on Dexter: Original Sin And Dexter: Resurrection, It has officially become a franchise.
