Dinah Jane delivers on her promise to deliver “tropical, edgy, island girl vibes” on her debut EP. On Friday, the former Fifth Harmony star dropped the eight-track project Jos County, Volume 1.
The project includes previously released singles including “Ocean Song,” “Road Less Traveled,” and “Let’s Go” with Young Go and JKING. It also includes the sultry R&B track “Tell Me” with Tone Stith, the island ballad “Just Us Two,” and a reggae reimagining of “Road Less Traveled.”
“This is for all the toxic couples out there.. yes you! I’m talking to you,” Jen wrote on Instagram. “Ladies, you know what it’s like when we don’t mean what we say. We’re just hinting at them 🤭iykyk.. oops watch out guys!”
The EP is titled after her hometown of Orange County, California where she told her fans “it was only right that I share a piece of home with you all.”
“There was never any pressure to try to get number one on the agenda, the goal was simply to lay the groundwork by getting back to me!” Jen said on Instagram. “As you can hear, I was just enjoying my portfolio as a writer and producer.”
“Securing this project as an independent artist wasn’t the easiest process, but God led me down this path less traveled and I’ve never looked back,” she wrote. “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done for myself!”
