It looks like Tovey and Mbatha-Raw will get their chance to shine on their own in the new limited series, which will not feature Gatwa's version of The Doctor this time around. In a statement released by Davies following the announcement during the “Into the Whoniverse” panel at SDCC, he described the new spinoff as a “thrilling drama” of massive scale, promising something fans will never forget.
