The new tracks come weeks after he first shared three other tracks on his website 100gigs.org earlier this month.
Drake surprisingly dropped three new songs via his Instagram account @plottttwisttttt on Friday, weeks after three other songs were leaked earlier this month.
The new songs are titled “Circadian Rhythm,” “SOD,” and “No Face,” the latter of which features Playboi Carti. “SOD” appears to be the same song as “Supersoak,” the track that Lil Yachty originally leaked to Twitch streamer Kai Cenat last month. Yachty said there were issues removing the samples from the track as creator Mr. Hotspot had religious objections to the use of the samples. Yachty was removed entirely from the version Drake shared on Friday.
These three songs are the latest in a string of mysterious new tracks from the rapper. Earlier this month, the singer shared several other unreleased tracks — “It’s Up” featuring Young Thug and 21 Savage, “Blue Green Red,” and “Housekeeping Knows” featuring Latto — along with behind-the-scenes videos and unreleased cover art on the website 100gigs.org.
The songs mark the end of a quiet summer for Drake, who has been relatively quiet since his public feud with Kendrick Lamar, whose satirical song “Not Like Us” became one of the biggest songs of the summer and spent two weeks atop the Hot 100.
It's not yet clear whether Drake's new songs will be released for sale or on streaming services, and no date was immediately available. A representative for Drake did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Rolling StoneRequest comment.
