The song, which features London rapper Cairo Keys, is the content creator's latest foray into hip-hop.
comedian and actor Cultural anthropologist Druski has decided to dip into his music bag today, releasing “No More Social Media” with south London rapper Cairo Keys. Druski and Cairo trade menacing riffs over a chilling beat by producer Moody. While Druski is known for his jokes, he seems to take his craft seriously on “No More Social Media,” singing, “I’m telling the truth, I don’t need a Bluetooth speaker. We play outside, we have inside, pigs that catch rugby balls.”
Cairo continues by shouting out the name of the “ugliest rapper alive,” the winner of the first season of Druski. It could have been home.“I can’t be the ugliest rapper alive, I just put 10 (k) on my teeth,” he raps. The track follows Druski’s debut single “Standin On Bihness,” featuring Snoop Dogg and DJ Drama, and shows another layer of his talent. Even when he’s performing comedic skits, his genius lies not just in the joke, but in the realistic nuances that illustrate his satirical attention. He translates this talent into music, with an impressively convincing recitation of a rhythm popular in the UK rap community.
Druski’s new song arrives after he announced the London edition of his Coulda Been auditions on Instagram. Druski also recently announced his first-ever comedy and music festival called Coulda Fest, set to take place on September 7 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The event will feature live comedy sketches and musical performances from 21 Savage, Kai Cenat, Soulja Boy, Waka Flocka Flame, and more.
The music video for “No More Social Media” will premiere on July 31 at 4 p.m.
