Elena Rose isn’t afraid to show off greatness. On Thursday night, the Venezuelan-American pop star and songwriter shared a video of her acoustic and gospel reimagining of her song “Me Lo Merezco,” which premiered exclusively with Rolling Stone.

“I love the way my fans have received this song, and how much it has brought us closer together,” says Rose. “I know this is the beginning of a new journey that I’m so excited to be on together.”

In the video, directed by Bernardo Garcia Salgado, we see the pop star in a cream-colored dress approaching a choir and an electric guitarist as she sings the song's beautiful lyrics. In the song, Rose expresses her gratitude for the greatness of life, repeating affirmations of what she knows she deserves: a great life, a kind partner, and true love.

“You deserve everything you dream of. You deserve to be happy,” she says. “You deserve to live a life without fear and have someone to hold you along the way. I will be with you forever.”

Rose released the original song in March, and it has since racked up over 12 million streams on Spotify. This year, she released two singles, “Trago Al Pecho” and “Orion” with Boza, which became her biggest release yet.

Rolling Stone in Spanish Rose—who is also the songwriter behind hits by Karol G, Becky G and Emilia—has been named one of the artists set to be the future of music. In a recent conversation with Mike Towers, Rose explained her perspective and creative process. “We are artists living in a world that has forgotten what real art is. [What] I try to do this exercise with myself: “How can I remember? I remember what is already living inside me. I can try to make you see how special you are and what you have.”
