Emily in Paris Emily heads to Rome in the upcoming second installment of the hit Netflix series Season 4. A new trailer for the second batch of episodes was released Monday, showing Emily (Lily Collins) embarking on a spontaneous trip to Rome and meeting a new coworker (and potential rival), Genevieve.
“Jenny from The Block is now Genji from La Rondesimment,” Emily says of her new American coworker before she sees her getting too close to her boyfriend Gabriel.
As fans saw in the first part of Season 4, Emily resumed her relationship with Gabriel after a messy end to Season 3. But it wasn't all fairytale happy endings for the couple, as Gabriel's ex-fiancée Camille failed to reveal that she wasn't actually pregnant.
“You'll always choose her,” Emily tells Gabriel about Camille. “I can't be the one to take you away from your family.”
In a much-needed repetition of the drama, Emily embarks on a trip to Rome, where she meets a new man named Marcello, whom she met on a ski trip. “I really needed this,” she tells him, “a break from work and Paris and everything.”
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Bruno Gouiri, who plays eccentric Frenchman Luc, shared his experience working on the hit series. “When I found out that Darren Star was going to be the producer, I knew straight away that it could be a huge success,” Gouiri said. Rolling Stone. “He always delivers a masterpiece. So I decided to try this amazing opportunity because it was the first time I was performing in English, and it was an opportunity to connect with people from all over the world. It was an amazing opportunity for me. Of course I had to say yes. It's an honor and a privilege to be a part of it.”
Sylvie Gratto (Filipino Leroy Beaulieu), Mindy (Ashley Park), Julian (Samuel Arnold), and Antoine (William Abadie) return for the sequel.
Emily in Paris Part one is available to stream now, and part two will premiere on September 12.
