‘Emily in Paris’ Cast Tease What’s In Store for a ‘Chaotic’ Season 4

When series star Lucien Laviscount was asked to describe season four of Emily in Paris, he had three choice words: “chaotic,” “luxurious,” and a little “heartbreaking.”

“We've known these characters for a lot longer now, so we've gotten to a little deeper tones,” Laviscount said. diverse On the new season, which is divided into two parts. “So I feel like — how can I put it? It’s a journey.”

On Wednesday night, La Viscount and the stellar cast of Emily in Paris, as well as the series’ creator, screenwriter and executive producer Darren Star, posed for photos outside the Hollywood Egyptian Theatre. The iconic cinema was transformed into a pink stage to celebrate the Netflix comedy-drama’s fourth season premiere.

The film follows Emily Cooper (Lily Collins), an American marketing executive who moves to Paris and brings her Western perspective to the Parisian fashion industry while meeting friends, making enemies, and falling in and out of love along the way.

Lucas Bravo, who plays Gabriel, one of Emily's European lovers, described the new episodes as “more mature” – shedding the naivety that comes with living in a foreign country and getting to the heart of the characters' problems.

“Darren’s writing style is very ‘90s. It’s based on misunderstandings, not verbalizations or processing. So he creates problems. And this season, there’s a lot of confrontation, so it feels more real,” Bravo said. “It’s not about being a fish out of water in a city trying to figure it out. It’s more about being an adult.”

Season 3 ended on a high note, with Emily and Gabriel forced to confront their lingering feelings for each other during his surprise wedding to his pregnant girlfriend Camille (Camille Razat), which Emily attended with her boyfriend Alfie (La Viscount). As such, Collins joked that her main character has some tough decisions to make in the coming episodes.

“I’m excited for everyone to see her more mature and vulnerable,” Collins said, referring to Bravo’s feelings. “I think there’s a lot of decisions she has to make, and along the way, there’s going to be ups and downs, and I love that. This year, she’s finally going to feel all the emotions. You know, she’s going to have some nervous breakdowns.”
