So… Carrie Bradshaw got hit by a city bike?
A series of fake ads for the filming of Max's “And Just Like That” have recently surfaced in New York City. The ads, which are circulating on social media, include false details about the upcoming third season of “Sex and the City.”
“After being hit by a motorcycle, Carrie hires Fletcher Reed (Jim Carrey) from 'Liar, Liar' as her lawyer,” one of the casting announcements reads.
Another story involves a fake plot about Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) revealing to her friends that she is “Garfield the Cat.”
In a different shooting notice, details of the project read: “Carrie goes on a bad date with Mr. Bean (the character) and then accidentally sends him a nude.”
It's not yet clear who is behind the notifications or whether they are somehow covert marketing for the show. A representative for Max, which airs “And Just Like That,” did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The third season of “And Just Like That,” which began filming earlier this summer in New York City, is scheduled to premiere in 2025.
A sequel to Sex and the City, And Just Like That follows Carrie (Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they navigate friendship and family in their 50s. The cast also includes Mario Cantone, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Christopher Jackson and John Corbett.
Sara Ramirez and Karen Bateman will not be returning as Che Diaz and Nia Wallace, respectively, while recurring guest stars Sebastiano Pigazzi and Dooley Wells have been cast as series regulars. New guests include Rosie O'Donnell, Logan Marshall-Green, Mehcad Brooks and Jonathan Cake.
“And Just Like That” was developed by Michael Patrick King, who serves as executive producer alongside John Melfi, Parker, Davis, Nixon, Julie Rothenberg, and Eliza Zuritsky.
