We spoke to the Blumhouse producer. Beatriz Sequeira resulting in the release of don't speak evilAn intriguing new psychological thriller that is being praised particularly for James McAvoy’s stellar performance. The film hits theaters tomorrow, September 13, and Sequeira—who serves as an executive producer on the film—has been busy with other highly anticipated Blumhouse projects, such as five nights at freddy's 2“I am able to share that We'll be releasing it in December of next year, and it's going to be awesome.She told MovieWeb, adding:
“It’s a sequel, so it’s bigger and better and scarier, everything. It’s going to be amazing. I mean, it’s an incredible movie because of the fans, so I’ve never experienced anything like that before,”
Fan loyalty and investment
… The energy is really great, like how passionate the crowd is. It's kind of humbling. It's like, “Oh, we really need to do a good job of making sure they're happy with this!”
This isn't the only big release Blumhouse will be producing. Sequeira also shared an update on wolf manAnd he had a simple but understandable reaction to Christopher Abbott replacing Ryan Gosling in the film: “To be completely honest, I think it’s just one of those things that movies evolve with. You know, we have an amazing version with [director] for him [Whannell] “And Chris and Julia Gardner. And I think that's what we need to focus on. That's the movie, and it's scheduled to be released on January 17, 2025.”
Speak No Evil Album Is Getting Big At Blumhouse
Blumhouse Productions is usually a leader in horror films, but it had a very weak year with audiences and critics. Its previous films this year, scared, imaginativeand Night Swim, were not on the same level as the many great horror films the studio produced (Get Out, M3GAN, Creeper, Invisible Man, Black Phone, Silence, Evil, Purge, Paranormal Activity). But with the September 13 release of don't speak evilThe studio has created a lot of excitement, even though the film is a remake of a movie that came out just two years ago.
Much of this excitement is due to James McAvoy, who is said to have delivered the most unbalanced performance we've ever seen (and given his work in Divided and glasswhich means something). In his review of don't speak evilWill Sayer of MovieWeb said of his performance:
