Foodtopia Continues the Surprising Depth of the Movie

As a follow-up to the surprisingly successful 2016 animated comedy, Sausage partyPrime Video series, Sausage Party: FoodtopiaIt could have easily turned into a sleazy, redundant addition to the overly mature franchise. However, the film’s surprising depth also led to the surprising depth of the series. However, Frank and Brianda believe otherwise and are certain that Jack may be of more use in the future. Before he can be set on fire in front of everyone, the duo free Jack and hide him in a nearby treehouse with Barry and the others who are clueless. As such, the subtleties of a seemingly silly and crass series reveal themselves to be a much deeper look into humanity itself.

When they don't know what to do with all the food they've captured, they create a court system in an attempt to bring justice. Although they created it with the best of intentions, they aren't afraid to abuse that power. The police and courts are quickly corrupted. With bribes to the teeth that tarnish the legitimacy of their authority, with Julius taking over, the series clearly shows how power and money lead to corruption when left unchecked by the laws and institutions designed to maintain a just and equal society.
