Future Announces ‘Mixtape Pluto’ Release Date

Future has announced his highly anticipated new project, “Mixtape Pluto,” which will be released on September 20th.

In an Instagram post, he revealed the cover of the collection with the caption: “F*** the publicity, I pulled this out of the mud MIXTAPE PLUTO 9-20-24.”

Not much is known about the mixtape the rapper has been teasing for over a year. He previously revealed that “Mixtape Pluto” would be back in June 2023, shortly after tweeting that “Dirty Sprite 3” was on the way.

Over the past month, he’s been dropping brief details about the project. Last weekend, Travis Scott tweeted about a collaboration with Future called “South of France,” and posted a video of the duo on a boat alongside producer Southside. The song is expected to be on the final tracklist for “Mixtape Pluto.”

A few days before that, Future shared a clip of a new song titled “Lil Demon.” In August, Future posted a photo with Pharrell Williams with the caption “Neptune Pluto,” suggesting the two might be reuniting for a mashup.

“Mixtape Pluto” comes after an already productive year for Future, who released two collaborations, “We Don’t Trust You” and “We Still Don’t Trust You,” with producer Metro Boomin. Both albums hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and the duo just wrapped up their We Trust You tour in Vancouver on Monday night.

Future released his ninth studio album, “I Never Like You,” in April 2022, and it’s been eight years since he released a solo mixtape. That project, “Purple Reign,” featured production from Metro Boomin, Southside, Zaytoven, DJ Spinz, and more.
