Ocean’s Eleven stars George Clooney and Brad Pittreunite in the first teaser trailer for Wolfs, the upcoming action-comedy from director Jon Watts. While brief, the teaser offers the exciting site of Hollywood superstars Pitt and Clooney back together again only this time, instead of sharing banter and partaking in a heist, they are sharing a (very) awkward, silent car ride.

You can check out the teaser and some details about Wolfs below.

Led by George Clooney and Brad Pitt, Wolfs finds the former as “a professional fixer hired to cover up a high profile crime,” while the latter is a second fixer who shows up, forcing the two “lone wolves” to work together. Of course, as is often the case with these odd-couple shenanigans, they find their night “spiraling out of control in ways that neither one of them expected.”

Written and directed by Jon Watts of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home fame, Wolfs stars Austin Abrams, Amy Ryan, and Poorna Jagannathan alongside Clooney and Pitt.

As well as featuring together across the Ocean’s franchise (Clooney recently revealed that a further sequel has been written), Clooney and Pitt both also starred in the crime comedy Burn After Reading from The Coen Brothers. Here’s hoping that their reunion in Wolfs will end far better than that one did…

A Wolfs Sequel Is Already Being Discussed

George Clooney has a lot of faith in Wolfs, with the actor and director having revealed that conversations are already happening regarding a possible sequel. Speaking with Deadline last year, Clooney heaped praise on director Jon Watts and described Wolfs as “an off the charts great film.”

“We’re already talking about a sequel for this film I did with Brad and Jon Watts. It was a great shoot and Jon is an extraordinarily talented guy who’s also really joyful. He loves what he does. We had a blast doing it and we’ve seen it. It’s an off the charts great film and it’s fun to work with Brad again. We had a really good time.”

Amid the modern release strategy shift towards streaming, Clooney has also revealed that both he and Pitt are dedicated to Wolfs receiving a theatrical release, with the pair relinquishing some of their salary to make it so.

“Brad and I made the deal to do that movie where we gave money back to make sure that we had a theatrical release. At the time, that wasn’t as popular an opinion as it has become in the last year and a half now. I think Netflix is considering buying theaters even, I’m not sure. But you look at Oppenheimer and Barbie, and establishing them as massive box office hits makes them massive hits on streaming as well.”

Wolfs
is set to be released in theaters by Sony Pictures Releasing on September 20, 2024.
