Gersh Agency Launches Philanthropic Initiative Gersh Gives

The Gersh Foundation announced the launch of “Gersh Gives,” a new initiative that will strategically unify the agency’s philanthropic work.

Gersh Gives is a comprehensive philanthropic initiative that supports high-impact nonprofits that drive meaningful and sustainable social change. By fostering collaborations and strategic partnerships, Gersh Gives will amplify its efforts to build a more just future in the broader entertainment industry.

The agency’s Chief Culture Officer Jason Council is leading the Gersh Gives initiative. “The Gersh Gives initiative is a wonderful opportunity for our agency to unleash the power of giving through the lens of representation, respect, and reform,” he said of the new initiative. “I am honored and excited to sponsor this special initiative.”

“Philanthropic partnerships have been a rewarding part of our agency’s work for many years, and something Jason has been instrumental in advancing since joining the firm,” said David Gersh, Bob Gersh, and Leslie Seibert, Gersh co-chairs, in a joint statement. “By strategically uniting our philanthropic work under one banner, Gersh can create more meaningful collaborations, amplify the work of our nonprofit partners, and ensure that our efforts are as transformative as possible.”

Gersh has been committed to a range of charitable initiatives with partners for many years, including Every Mother Counts, The Doe Fund, Posse Foundation, FC Harlem, LA Food Bank, and NY Common Pantry, as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting its community.

2024 has been a year of major growth for the agency, with exciting signings including Zach Woods, Elsa Majimbo, Jess Hong and Thomas Doherty.
