Gina Rodriguez has joined the cast of the third season of ABC's drama “Will Trent” as a series regular.
She will play Marion Alba, described as “a confident and charismatic assistant district attorney who is newly hired in Atlanta. After her first meeting with Will (Ramon Rodriguez) goes awry, the duo is surprised to learn that they must work together to investigate a crime in the Atlanta gang world.”
The film follows a Georgia Bureau of Investigation special agent who was abandoned at birth and raised in Atlanta's foster care system, which now has the highest eviction rate in the bureau. Along with Rodriguez in the lead role, the cast includes Sonja Sohn as Amanda Wagner, Erika Christensen as Angie Pulaski, Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell, and Jake McLaughlin as Michael Ormwood.
