Harrison Ford Gives Very Harrison Ford Response to Captain America 4 Questions


While the rest of the heroes are in Captain America: Brave New World Get a chance to wear specially designed superhero costumes and fight with amazing gadgets, Harrison Ford He had to wear motion-capture pajamas to bring Red Hulk to life. After Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) took on the mantle of Captain America, Ford takes on the role of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, aka Red Hulk, in the new film. And in Harrison Ford fashion, he gave his honest opinion on the process.




Speaking to Variety at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Harrison Ford opened up about his experience playing the Red Hulk on set. Known for his very candid answers in interviews, Ford said that playing the Red Hulk required him to overcome any qualms about “looking too much” on set. Although he didn’t say it quietly:

“It took not caring. It took being a jerk for money, which I've done before. I'm not making light of it, I'm just saying you have to do certain things that, normally, your mother wouldn't want you to do, or your acting coach if you had one.”

Harrison Ford makes his MCU debut, replacing the late William Hurt as Thaddeus Ross.

While Ford's answer was hilariously annoying, he didn't leave it that way. Ford followed it up with a genuine love for his work on the film, and couldn't believe the amazing response he got from the audience at Marvel's Hall H screening. Ford continued:

“But it's fun, and I enjoyed it. I had a great time, and I'm happy with the feedback we got today with the trailer.”

The Variety interview wasn't the first time Ford has ignored a question at the San Diego Comic-Con. After the Marvel panel, Ford was asked about the Serpent Society (the villains in Captain America: Brave New World), and more specifically, which of his characters — Indiana Jones or Thunderbolt Ross — handles snakes better. Ford wasn’t happy about that, likening the question to the “Who shot first?” question of the past 45 years. The actor replied:


“I have always treated these questions with the utmost respect and complete disdain. I will not answer this stupid question. But thank you for the opportunity.”
