J Balvin will make his big screen debut as an Interpol investigator investigating a drug smuggling operation in the upcoming film, little laurenaccording to diverse.
The film appears to be loosely inspired by true events from the 1980s, and will explore how a remote fishing and mining village in Nova Scotia became a hub for cocaine trafficking. An Interpol investigator played by Balvin heads north while investigating a Colombian drug cartel suspected of moving product through the region.
Alongside Balvin, the film will star Sean Astin and Stephen Amell.
